We feel the sand between our toes, beach vacation day 2

Me: "Let me take your picture."
Julia: "I'm too excited! Lets go."

Woe. I like this place.

Look. It's fun. Dig like this.

Woe. Giggle. Giggle.

Weeeee.

That's the ocean?

Julia, look it's the ocean!

Hi Mom. I'm swimming.

The girls had so much fun on the beach (me included). Ashleigh & I played follow the leader. She ran back & forth in the waves jumping over the white foam (a.k.a. white lava). Julia followed some too. People looking down from their nicely air conditioned condo, probably thought, what are these silly kids doing? Julia sat in the ocean & just giggled when the waves lapped around her.
Then we were off to the pool. Look for the video...beach vacation day 2.
Good memories. Good times.

And We're Off, beach vacation day 1

Ashleigh has been counting down the days & it's finally here! Woo-hoo! We're off to the beach minus Daddy, but that's O.K. He'll be there in a few days. We're on our way to the beach, so we have to stop at Smithfield's Chicken 'N BAR-B-Q for lunch...it must be done. It's a tradition, you know.

Julia's, "what 'cha talkin about Ashleigh" face

I was getting a little TOO SLEEPY, so we stoped at a convenience store for a little pick me up. This was the girl's treat of choice.

Our view! We've arrived!!! Woot! Woot!

While doing our "stocking up" grocery trip, I spied these for Stewart. Gorgeous, don't ya' think!

The A/C is rollin', the hot water heater is on, groceries have been purchased, the sheets are on the bed, & the Sundrop is chillin' in the frig.

Come on Stew...you castle awaits!

Party Time!

These are pics from Kennedi's (a friend from school) 6th birthday party at Frankie's.

A very wet Ashleigh & Heather after riding the bumper boats
In the blue & white boat was Ashleigh, Heather, & Lizzie. In this boat, driven by 6 year old girls, all we could hear the entire boat ride was squeals & laughter. Very entertaining to watch, I may add.

This is Alan, the only boy that came to the party. He seemed to fit in pretty well though.

All these were taken with my phone & this one didn't turn out so well, but Ashleigh's was about 4 stories up in this fun house. According to Ash, this was the highlight of the party. All I could see from below was running & jumping!
Definitely fun was had by all! Happy Birthday Kennedi!

Here We Go Again!

We're so excited about our garden this year! One of our tomato plants even has some "baby" tomatoes.

Cucumbers

Tomatoes

more tomatoes...love the nightshades!

The new box Stewart made...many more to follow, I'm afraid. :)

Mostly strawberries...peppers in the back.

Our trip to K-Vegas

Our family loves to visit our friends in K-Vegas (a.k.a. Kernersville). This time was no exception. Ashleigh was so excited & counting down the days before our trip. This trip would involve watching baby chicks hatch & playtime with the "fluffy" ones. You just never know what you might get on the Stack Family Farm. O.K., it's not really a farm, but it does seem that way sometimes.

"O.K. Mom, just take the picture, sigh..."

Why do boys do that?

Ashleigh really liked this one.

Just love holding baby animals...so soft & cuddly.

Connor & Cailyn liked to let them crawl all over them. Our kids didn't want any of that. In fact all Julia wanted to do was give them a few quick pats. Ashleigh said, "they're just SOOOO ADORABLE!" If they moved too much, however, they were back in the box.

Too Cute!
We had a great spaghetti meal & dessert (thanks Donya!). The kids played. And played. And played. Julia found Cailyn's little pets & had a blast. Don't think Cailyn liked that when she found out, sorry Cailyn.
Overall it was a great trip & visit with friends.
